Would you like to be my godmother?
Omdat mama soms een beetje hysterisch kan zijn, papa een beetje gek is, en ik wel nood heb aan een beetje rust. Ben ik op zoek naar een leuke meter. Van het weekend hadden wij dan ook een hele speciale vraag namens onze baby "Would you like to be my godmother?"
Meters en peters zijn er voor die extra verwennerijen naast het thuisfront en grootouders. Zelf hadden we zo iets van als je al oma of opa bent (of Nono en Nona,op zijn Italiaans 
, heb je al een hele speciale rol in het leven van deze kleine spruit. Zelf ben ik meter van mijn nichtje Febe, die al een flinke meid begint te worden. En bijna 1 jaar wordt, hip hip hoera! Al weet ik nog niet zeker of ik haar eerste verjaardag wel zal meemaken, aangezien we rond dezelfde datum zijn uitgerekend. Het wordt nog spannend!
Zowel Steve als ik wouden graag onze jongere zusjes vragen, maar is het niet een beetje gek om twee meters te hebben en geen peter? Daarom twijfelden we toch wel best lang en geen van beide was bereid om toe te geven. Tricky Bij de gynaecoloog zagen we dat het eigenlijk helemaal niet zo gek is, en het steeds vaker gebeurd. Knuffelmeters en twee peters het is niets raars meer in deze samenleving.
En hoe kan je dit beter vragen dan met een schattig koekje? Ik bestelde een hele doos bij Biscuiters, een webshop uit de UK gespecialiseerd in koekjes. Zo kan je in plaats van een verjaardagskaart eens een koekje sturen. Alles zat verpakt in een metale tin met blauwe eendjes op, echt heel erg lief! De koekjes zelf waren echt eyecandy, kleine body's, beren, sokjes, typical baby stuff!
Laatste bezoekje bij de gynaecoloog was trouwens vorige week, en hij was enorm gegroeid, lag zelf een paar weken voor. Het blijft dus nog afwachten wanneer we hem welkom mogen heten in deze wereld. Maar hij is alvast zeer welkom ook bij zijn meters

Ah dat ziet er lief uit! Mijn peter en meter (peetoom en peettante 
) zijn met elkaar getrouwd, mijn peetoom is aangetrouwd en mijn peettante is de zus van mijn moeder. Bij ons in de familie hebben sommige neefjes/nichtjes ook twee meters of twee peters.
Wat waren de reacties van de meters in spé =D?
Mijn nichtje heeft ook twee meters. De koekjes zijn echt heel mooi en een leuke manier om gevraagd te worden lijkt me.
Ik had nog een vraagje: bereiden jullie Balou voor op de komst van de nieuwe spruit en zo ja, hoe? Ik heb zelf een kat en ben nog lang niet zwanger, maar vraag me af hoe je dat zou doen om te zorgen dat de kat niet in de kribbe komt enzo. Ik heb al eens gelezen dat mensen dan al maanden op voorhand ballonnen in het bedje leggen om de kat te doen verschieten zodat hij/zij weet dat hij/zij daar niet mag komen. Doen jullie zo iets?

Evi, ik heb het ens nagekeken en toen ik 31 weken was van Sammeke was zijn geschat gewicht 1,8 kg en gyn heeft daar nooit iets van gezegd... Ik was zelf 4 kg bijgekomen en op het einde 6 kg, maar ja ik had dan ook wat meer reserve hé ;-) Charlie was op 31 weken zelfs 2 kg! En je ziet, zo veel wogen ze niet bij de geboorte hé!
Dat is wel een hele toffe manier om het te vragen!
Ik heb zelf eigenlijk ook 2 meters. Mijn echte peter was nl getrouwd met de zus van mama maar toen ze 10 jaar geleden gescheiden zijn heeft hij zich volledig losgemaakt van de familie. Mijn tante vond het zo zielig voor mij dat ik nu geen peter meer had dat ze de rol heeft overgenomen

Oooh, het wordt alvast een zomerkindje. Net als ik, geboren in de zomer dus
Jippie Nu heb ik ook inspiratie voor later (ik ben niet zwanger).
Bij ons thuis werd dit gewoon gevraagd denk ik .
Maar mijn zusje had bij de geboorte mijn tante en ondertussen ex-nonkel als meter en peter (ze waren getrouwd). Maar die peter is dus een jaar na de geboorte amper komen kijken naar mijn zus en toen ze 2 werd kwam hij ook langs (met verjaardagskaartje: "gelukkige derde verjaardag") en mijn zus had echt schrik. Toen ze 3 werd hoorden we niets meer en op een gegeven moment hebben mijn ouders een lang gesprek gehad. En zijn ze met de peter gaan praten en hij: "ik begrijp het volkomen. ik vind het niet erg." Toen werd papa maar peter van mijn klein zusje tot we 2 jaar geleden zo'n goede vrienden werden met een koppel. Toen bleek dat de vrouw in het koppel zo graag meter wilde zijn, maar dat het in haar familie niet ging, hebben mama en papa met zusje gepraat. En nog voor mijn ouders aan haar vroegen of ze die vrouw als meter wilde hebben, kwam mijn klein zusje zelf met dat idee af (5 jaar!). Dus ze is dat ook zelf gaan vragen en ja, die vrouw was zoooooo ontroerd en mijn zusje is kei blij dat ze 2 meters heeft!
Soit, ik wilde eigenlijk gewoon zeggen dat het echt niet uitmaakt of er een meter en een peter moet zijn. In sommige families is het trouwens de traditie om de oma meter te maken bij het eerste kind! Ouders van mijn vriend hebben al gezegd dat zij dit niet willen (was ik ook niet van plan ).
